Ōtāhuhu sits at the heart of South Auckland a suburb rich in Māori heritage and home to one of the most vibrant Pacific communities in Aotearoa New Zealand. WeAccounting was built with this community in mind.
As a team of dedicated Māori accountants and Pacific accountants, we understand the aspirations, values, and challenges that local whānau, small businesses, iwi entities, and charities face every day. We speak your language not just culturally, but when it comes to accounting & business too.
Whether you run a trade business on Station Road, a service enterprise serving local families, or an iwi-affiliated entity, our team delivers practical, jargon-free financial guidance that moves your goals forward.

OUR COMMUNITY SPECIALISATIONS
Ōtāhuhu is one of Aotearoa's most culturally rich communities. Our team reflects that diversity and brings genuine understanding of the unique financial environments that Māori entities, Pacific organisations, and registered charities operate within.
A question we hear constantly: do I need to file a tax return NZ? The answer depends on your income sources. If you earn salary or wages only and your employer deducts PAYE correctly, Inland Revenue may handle your return automatically. However, you will need to file an IR3 tax return if you have income from self-employment, rental property, a business, partnerships, overseas income, or certain investments. We recommend checking with us filing when you don't need to is harmless, but not filing when you should can result in penalties.
The IR3 tax return is the individual income tax return form for people with income other than PAYE wages. If you are self-employed, a contractor, a landlord, a business owner, or received income not taxed at source, you must file an IR3 with Inland Revenue each tax year (1 April to 31 March). Our accountants New Zealand-wide and right here in Ōtāhuhu can prepare and file your IR3, ensuring all deductions are claimed correctly and on time.
We provide a full suite of accounting services Auckland businesses and individuals need — including tax returns, GST, PAYE, year-end accounts, Virtual CFO advisory, cashflow forecasting, business planning, financial literacy, and specialist support for charities, iwi entities, and Pacific organisations.
